What is ABA, in plain language
A jargon-free look at Applied Behaviour Analysis and what sessions actually involve.
The basics
Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is a way of understanding how people learn, and using that to build skills in small, achievable steps.
Positive reinforcement, like praise, a favourite activity or a high-five, makes it more likely a new skill will be used again.
What sessions look like
At Peak, a trained Instructor Therapist works 1:1 with your child, in clinic, at home or in the community.
A Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) designs the plan, supervises sessions and reviews progress data.
Our approach
We build on strengths and interests, respect how each child communicates and focus on skills that make daily life easier and happier.
