Consultation Services
Managing challenging behaviour can feel overwhelming—whether you’re a parent navigating meltdowns at home or a teacher supporting a student in the classroom. Our Behaviour Consultation services offer individualized strategies, data-driven insight, and compassionate guidance to help your child succeed in their day-to-day life.
We work closely with families and (when permitted) schools, daycares, or other care providers to build meaningful, effective behaviour support plans based on what matters most to you.
Practical, Personalized Behaviour Support
Behaviour Consultation can support a wide range of concerns, including:
Aggression and physical outbursts
Elopement or wandering
Task refusal and non-compliance
Tantrums or emotional dysregulation
Toileting challenges
Transition difficulties
Sensory-seeking behaviours/ Challenges
Any other behaviour identified by the parent
We don’t follow a template—we follow the child. Every behaviour plan is custom-built to reflect the learner’s strengths, needs, and goals.
How It Works
Observation & Data Collection: Our team observes your child (typically in-centre) and collaborates with teachers or caregivers once consent is granted.
Functional Behaviour Assessment (FBA): ABC data and direct observations help us understand the why behind the behaviour.
Behaviour Support Plan (BSP): A written, practical plan is developed with clearly defined strategies for managing and improving behaviour.
Ongoing Support: As an ongoing service, consultation may include reassessment and plan revisions over time to ensure progress is sustained.
Who It's For
Children and youth ages 16 months to 18 years (with some exceptions for older clients)
Families looking for support outside of regular ABA programming
Parents and caregivers seeking individualized help without committing to full-time therapy
You do not need to be enrolled in other services at Peak Learning Centre to access Behaviour Consultation.
Collaboration Is Key
We believe that behaviour support is most effective when everyone is on the same page. That’s why we:
Involve schools and daycare staff (with consent)
Tailor strategies to home, classroom, or community settings
Ensure family values and parenting styles are respected throughout the process
Parent training is available as a separate service for those looking to deepen their understanding and confidence in managing behaviours long-term.
Pricing & Funding
We accept private insurance and OAP/government funding. Please contact us directly for current rates and availability.
